David’s FULL REVIEW
8/10
RT SYNOPSIS: Long before meeting Shrek, Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) -- just named a hero for saving a woman from a charging bull -- is run out of town on suspicion of bank robbery, even though the real villain is Puss' friend, Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis). Though there is still animosity between them, Puss and Humpty reunite to steal a goose that lays golden eggs. Joining them for the adventure of nine lifetimes is notorious cat burglar, Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek).
RATED: PG | Some Adventure Action, Mild Rude Humor
AGENDAS/PROPAGANDA: Minor pretend cursing (censoring). One character starts to say bullsh—-, but gets cut off. Humor is very dark and a lot of demonic scenes that might not be good for young children.
NUDITY/SEXUAL CONTENT: None
DAVID’S AGE RESTRICTION: All ages
DAVID’S REVIEW: A smart, witty, hilarious addition to the Shrek universe. Puss in Boots did not disappoint and is sure to entertain adults and kids throughout. The animation was a fun, creative, original idea and it worked really well. The cameos were awesome. Definitely worth the theater price. ✅8/10
