David’s FULL REVIEW

6/10

RT SYNOPSIS: Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope's parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott's daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

RATED: PG-13 | Violence, Action, Language

AGENDAS/PROPAGANDA: Heavily implied that Scott Lang’s (Ant-Man) daughter is a leftist activist. The movie had many sexual innuendos and a good amount of cursing for a Marvel movie. Pride flag is shown briefly in one scene. “Socialism” comment is made by one of the main characters.

NUDITY/SEXUAL CONTENT: Several sexual innuendos with one scene that included cringe dialogue.

DAVID’S AGE RESTRICTION: 10+

DAVID’S REVIEW: Can Marvel’s Phase Four be over already? Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania followed Phase Four’s overall theme of mediocrity. It wasn’t as terrible as Thor: Love & Thunder, but it has its flaws.

The average acting from A-List actors, who we’re used to seeing give terrific performances, was disappointing. The overall flow of the movie was messy and clunky and the plot wasn’t that interesting, although the villain, Kang, was awesome and I’m looking forward to seeing him in future Marvel films.

Quantumania had its funny moments, but this was the only pro of the movie. Wait for this one to come out on streaming service. Be sure to stay after for 2 post credit scenes.
