7/10

RT SYNOPSIS: In "Free Guy," a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story... once he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way... before it is too late.

RATED: PG-13 | Language, Crude/Suggestive References, Strong Fantasy Violence

AGENDAS: The movie is FULL of agendas from a strong anti-2A line, to the “be whoever you want to be” line that most likely referred to the LGBTQ lifestyle, to men bashing/making men look weak, to a white supremacy comment, to young children cussing (I don’t understand why Hollywood thinks this is funny), to characters using the Lord’s name in vein MANY times. There were also a couple of blasphemous comments about Jesus. I would highly advise AGAINST taking your teens or kids to see this one - however, it might just feel like another day at public school for them.

NUDITY/SEXUAL CONTENT: Tons of sexual references and innuendos that some kids will catch and some won’t. No nudity.

OFA REVIEW: Agendas aside, Free Guy was entertaining enough to keep your eyes on the screen, but not deep enough to make this a memorable film. Free Guy’s plot was creative and probably the best aspect of the movie with the pace of the film being just right. The movie was well casted and it had its funny moments, but the humor did seem forced throughout. Video game enthusiasts will be the only part of the audience who will love and appreciate the film.
