7.5/10

SYNOPSIS: After the sad events ending in A Quiet Place (2018), which ended in their father’s/husband’s death,, the Abbott Family is continuing to fight for their survival while attempting to locate other survivors along the way. They’ll soon learn, the creepy monsters aren’t the only living threat they’ll need to worry about.

RATED: PG-13 | Terror, Bloody/Disturbing Images, Violence

AGENDAS: The film seems to slightly go with the current theme in Hollywood and corporate America which is empowering women (which is fine) while making the men take a back seat. It’s nothing to get upset about, but if you’re paying attention to the agendas in our country, it’s not hard to miss and it definitely isn’t distracting enough in the movie thanks to some great acting by Emily Blunt and Millicent Simmonds.

NUDITY/SEXUAL CONTENT: None to report!

OFA REVIEW: A Quiet Place Part II started out strong, but fell flat with its slower than needed pace and not-too-interesting plot. The acting, however, was superb and it’s what gave this movie any weight. The movie seemed too familiar, like we’ve seen it all before, and didn’t really bring anything new to the table. The plot itself didn’t advance as much as we wanted it to and we were still left with a lot of questions. The intense and horrific feelings of the first movie weren’t as strong either. Overall, it was average. We wouldn’t rush to the theater on this one.
