7/10
SYNOPSIS: Godzilla vs. Kong (GvK) is the third installment in the Godzilla franchise with Godzilla (2014) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) being the previous two. In GvK, Kong and his keepers leave skull island to find Kong’s true home. In the middle of transit back to the states, Kong and his keepers are met with an unexpected surprise, Godzilla. As Godzilla rages throughout the earth while leaving a trail of destruction, there’s more that meets the eye with the giant reptile. Inevitably, the two alpha monsters face off against one another. Who will be left standing, Kong or Godzilla?
RATED: PG-13 | Destruction, Brief Language, Intense Creature Violence
AGENDAS: Other than CNN being the main news source for the movie, there’s nothing much else to report! We may have yelled out “Fake News” when CNN came on in the theater, but that’s none of your business ;).
NUDITY/SEXUAL CONTENT: No nudity or sexual content.
OFA REVIEW: Godzilla vs. Kong was enjoyable enough to bring the family to the theaters, but the plot was clunky and poorly executed. GvK at times was all brawn and no brains - it reminded us of a Zack Snyder DC film. The Kong vs. Godzilla fight scenes were definitely the best part of the movie.
