DAVID’S REVIEW: Well acted, great soundtrack, and action scenes were well done. Viola Davis was outstanding in her role, however, John Boyega as the Dahomey king was a big miscast. Boyega brought the seriousness and edge of the film down.
I didn’t score The Woman King higher because of the flow of the movie. It often felt clunky. Just when I was trying to process something that occurred in one scene, it jumped to the next. It felt a little messy and poorly put together at times. Regardless, the movie was pretty good.
