David’s full REVIEW
9.2/10
RT SYNOPSIS: In No Time To Die, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
RATED: PG-13 | Sequences of Violence & Action, Brief Strong Language, Some Disturbing Images, Some Suggestive Material
AGENDAS: One of the main characters is revealed as gay, but it’s a very subtle and quick reveal through one line. It’s not enough to distract from the movie, but it makes us aware of the small insertions into Hollywood movies that will eventually lead to more.
NUDITY/SEXUAL CONTENT: A couple of intense kissing scenes that may not be good for 14 and under. No nudity and only a couple of subtle sexual references - will fly over younger kid’s heads.
DAVID’S REVIEW: No Time To Die was by far one of the franchise’s most emotional, beautifully shot, and well executed film with Daniel Craig (James Bond) giving one of his best performances of his career. There were so many things to love about this movie with the only drawback being its generic plot, which is wildly similar to what’s going on in the world right now with the pandemic (you’ll see a lot of parallels and maybe even curse Fauci’s name out loud in the theater).
Craig owned his final go around as James Bond. You felt connected to him and his emotions and boy what a send off at the end. The new 00 agent, played by Lashana Lynch, was actually quite good as she completely owned the role while paying her respects to Bond. The villain, played by Rami Malek, had depth and purpose. Malek killed it.
The best part of the movie was its cinematography and visuals. You can tell the team behind No Time To Die took their time with every shot with nothing coming off as rushed or sloppy. Definitely one of the most beautiful Bond films to date. Go see it now!
